Emmanuel United Church of Christ Services Schedule

 

Our Sunday services begin at 9 a.m. with Faith Formation for adults and continue with Worship at 10 a.m. During the Worship service, Faith Formation is offered for kids following the children's moment.

Faith Formation

9 a.m. Faith Formation

 

Faith Formation is a time for the adult members of our congregation to gather and discuss topics concerning faith and how best to live out our Christian lives as we have been called to do by Jesus Christ.

 

We currently have 2 groups that meet during our Faith Formation time:

 

Adult Men's Group     -      A men's group who discuss current events and work

                                              through curriculum chosen by their leader.

Hand-in-Hand   -      Women of all ages who gather to discuss current events

                                    and follow a curriculum set by their leadership.

10 a.m. Worship

 

Worship at Emmanuel feels like a familial community which gathers each week to connect with one another on a deeper and more personal level than our every day lives allow.  While our service includes hymns, children's moment, scripture reading, sermon, prayers of the people, confession, and monthly Communion, we would like to invite you to come and feel the Spirit of our Worship for yourself.

Children's Faith Formation

 

Following our Children's Moment, during our Worship service, the youth are dismissed to their respective classrooms for a time of Faith Formation.  Our facilities include a nursury, equipped with a changing station and plenty of toys and activities, as well as a classroom with youth sized tables and chairs.  During this time the youth of the church learn about the Love of Jesus Christ and create works of art and gifts with craft materials.  Recent gifts include Mother's Day potted plants, Father's Day m&m's bowties, and Family Promise welcome cards.

Faith Formation Volunteers

We are always looking to have members volunteer to help teach our youth during Faith Formation time.  If you are interested in assisting with this program please sign up.  Classes include:

     -     Nursery

     -     Mixed Ages (1st Grade - 5th Grade)

     -     Pre-Confirmation (6th Grade - 7th Grade)
